Cars in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers reported they were alerted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Approximately 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then discovered multiple other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say initial examinations show the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; authorities are not yet cognizant of any harm in association with the incident," they stated.

City officials announced they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important official stated the incident left him stunned and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a gunman aiming at residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
